The Sunderland Story
If you haven’t already heard about the extremely popular Sunderland Story then please talk to some of the people who have. In this website is a list of schools who have taken part in the project. This is how it works;
We do all the work!
We cast up to 25 children in the 25 minute show. Two weeks prior to the show we audition the children. They are given their scripts to learn their lines. One actor and one director arrive two weeks later and produce the piece over four mornings or afternoons and then the show, with full set and costumes, is performed on the Friday.
The cast and crew have now been through the full theatrical process.
The feedback we’ve had has been tremendous. Some of the benefits stated in the feedback have been as follows;
‘Increased self-esteem – Learn about the city and its rich heritage – Teamwork, deadlines and discipline – good value for money – excellent dreambox personnel...certainly recommend to other schools – there is a definite appetite for further learning – the empire couldn’t have produced a better show.’
